Missions has always been at the heart of our church. First Free began as the Swedish Evangelical Mission Church over 150 years ago in Boone, and has raised up, sent out, and supported mission work to the ends of the earth. We currently support around 20 missionaries as a congregation, and send missionaries out yearly from our congregation to bring the good news of Jesus to people near and far.

Join the Mission

There are four main ways you can join the mission to share the good news of Jesus through First Free

PRAY
Pray for God to raise up workers to sow and reap in the fields of our area and around the world. Obtain a list of missionaries we support to pray for their needs and for Gospel success where they serve.
SEND
Support current and former missionaries through giving toward their needs. At First Free, we encourage both giving through the church-supported missionaries as well as those who God brings across your path. 
GO
Whether it is a short-term mission or a life-long commitment, we encourage people to follow the leading of the Lord to bring the Gospel to the nations. Step out in faith and watch what the Lord does as He sends you on mission for the glory of His name.
MAKE DISCIPLES
You don't have to go far away to be on mission for God. Look around you - who has God brought to your life, and where has He strategically placed you to share about Jesus. We would love to help you develop a disciplemaking way of life.
