Pastor Tom and Julie came to First Free of Boone, in July 2014.
Tom and Julie were married in 1986. They have three children: Sarah and Laura who live, study, and work in Minneapolis, and their son, Andy, who is a freshman at University of Iowa.
Tom got his masters in biblical studies at Columbia International University, graduating in 1988. Tom and Julie served with the Torchbearers in Sweden, from 1988-1990.
Following this mission opportunity, Tom has pastored evangelical free churches in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, from 1990-2009.
In 2009, the Mason family moved to Vienna, Austria, to teach at the Vienna Christian School and pastor Grace Church Vienna, until summer 2014.
The Masons are delighted to be in Boone with the mission to help make disciples in the heartland!

Tim Hunter
Associate Pastor of Discipleship
Pastor Tim and Carrie are excited to be a part of the Boone community and First Free church family. They have seven children: Jake (married to Taylor), Will, Kaylin, Josh, Caleb, Allie, and Emiana.
Tim got his bachelors from University of Iowa and continued to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School before starting into ministry full time. He has been in ministry for nearly 30 years, serving as youth pastor in Clinton, IA, Milaca, MN, Wheeling, IL, and East Chain, MN twice. He last served as associate pastor at Oakdale Free Church in Meriden, IA.
Tim's heart passion is to disciple people to love and serve God passionately, so together they can impact their world for Christ. Following Jesus together, we ware called to be and make disciples who make disciples who make disciples, ad infinitum.
